Kerry O’Connor

Head of Communications

Kerry joined Dragon Rouge in 2004 as PR Manager. She’s now Head of Communications. Whatever the message, Kerry is our woman for getting it to the right people at the right time through the right media. She’s the lynchpin between client communication teams and all the partners involved in taking a brand to market, as well as keeping information flowing within the agency.

Before Dragon Rouge she worked in advertising for Ogilvy and Publicis. Here at Dragon Rouge she produces the Dragonfly magazine, has managed the Dragon Rouge rebrand and runs the internal development programme, Academy. Enthusiastic and tenacious, she finds the company refreshing in its independent outlook and loves the flexible approach and culture.

While at Ogilvy she ran the IBM account and was responsible for a 32-week live radio sponsorship series on Classic fM featuring IBM e-business case studies and the transformation of Southfields tube station into Centre Court to mark IBM’s sponsorship of Wimbledon tennis tournament. In a marketing role at Publicis she pulled in over 200 journalists to the Christmas party for two consecutive years, with acts such as Ricky Gervais and Jamie Cullum.

No challenge is too big and Kerry puts her heart and soul into everything she does.

Kerry loves all genres of music and outside of Dragon Rouge you’ll find her at gigs and festivals. She’s also a big fan of classic black and white movies and going to the theatre. When it comes to keeping fit – it’s anything from fencing to wall climbing to British Military Fitness and she ran the London Marathon in 2009 for ARC raising £3,000. Her recent exercise of choice is hot yoga but promises she's not a fanatic! With that much energy, it will come as no surprise that asked what she can’t stand, she’ll tell you: “people who walk too slow.”
